Sensory Play
Here at Chiswick's Little Explorer's, we set up sensory play activities every day for our little explorer's baby room, little creator's toddler room, and our little discoverer's Pre-school room. Our children really enjoy exploring different messy activities and creating memories.
It’s recommended that babies as young as 4 months have opportunities for sensory play, as soon as they reach for something or make a fist, we believe they are ready to start exploring their world.
Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity. It helps to build nerve connections in the brain and encourages the development of language and motor skills. Sensory play includes activities that stimulate children’s senses such as sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch.
